PRELIMINARY DESIGN / PROTOTYPE. EMED utilizes Computer Aided Design tools to optimize the development process. A first prototype is made resulting from the design criteria.

MANUFACTURING. Through its OEM division, Medifacture S.A., EMED offers OEM services for the development and assembly, packaging and other medical device manufacturing services:

Assembly

• Clean-room. Our manufacturing is done in class 100,000 clean rooms.
• Cost competitive labor intensive assembly

Extrusion

• Tight accuracies
• Co-extrusions
• Special materials for enhanced biocompatibility

Bonding

• Solvent bonding
• UV curing
• RF welding

Sterilization. Product validation is often times a costly part of the development process. Our in-house ETO sterilization affords our customers simplified validation of their products.
 

Flexible small lots. New product development frequently requires small batches. We recognize the need to produce various product revisions while economizing during the process.
 

Stock of millions of parts. New medical product developments can sometimes be simplified by utilizing off-the-shelf parts.
